Saturday Morning Breakfast Club
Every Saturday, a non-denominational group of volunteers from
various churches feed approximately 350 to 400 homeless and hungry
people living on the streets and in shelters in Stockton.  Our session
has approved the collection of non-perishable food.  Collection
baskets are placed under or near the literature table in Westminster
Hall.  Bring a box of something (raisins, oatmeal...anything
non=perishable) with you to church.  Monetary donations can pew
made by using the deacon's pew envelopes and writing "Breakfast
Club" on the outside, and putting them in the offertory plate.  If writing
checks, please also write "Breakfast Club" on the memo of your check.
 Your donations are greatly appreciated.
Women's Sunday morning study is entitled "The Death and Resurrection of the
Messiah"

There will be a second Sunday morning co-ed class study lead by Jim Louden.
160th Birthday Celebration (continued from home page)
It all began in worship, and that is where our birthday will begin as well.  The Worship and Music
committee is planning for special recognition of long time members during our regular worship
time.  The Fellowship Committee will be hosting the birthday luncheon.

Outreach is suggesting that we bring birthday gifts.  No birthday would be complete without
them.  Two gifts would be great!  First let's offer God our gifts in form of a re-dedication to his
church and service.  How can we do this?  We could commit to do 160 of something - minutes,
hours, days, dimes or dollars, (or something starting with 16).  You might consider the following
suggestions or come up with your own.

Gifts of Personal Dedication:  Pray for 160 minutes per month; take on a project in the
church for 160 minutes/hours/days; work with the Breakfast Club for 160 hours; visit or call
shut-ins for 16 minutes per week, invite 16 friends to church (or 160 friends); etc.

Second Gift: Ideas for the Future Decade:  While birthdays are usually celebrations of the
past - let's take this opportunity to also create a "wish list" of things we'd like to see our church
do within the next decade.  Brainstorm and come to the party with ideas for the future as well.
Some ideas may be:  Youth group trips to Haggin; Ports ballgame; partner with local school to
tutor or read; electronic message board; internet classes; additional bible study, estate
planning, the list is endless.
